Lisa Edelstein began her professional acting career while studying theatre at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. After performing in a wife range of productions off and off-off Broadway, Edelstein authored, composed and performed in the musical and AIDS-related theatre production Positive Me in Manhattan. Edelstein gained her first television experience as a host of the cable series Awake on the Wild Side. In the last several years she has taken on a wide variety of television roles.
